Streszczenie

Abstrakt

Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przegląd aktualnych prac na temat zastosowań i płynących korzyści wynikających z korzystania z komory hiperbarycznej w leczeniu ran. Owrzodzenia stopy cukrzycowej, urazy popromienne, a także inne rany przewlekłe zwykle wymagają skomplikowanych działań chirurgicznym czy farmakologicznych, a ponadto ich występowanie znacząco obniżają komfort życia pacjenta. Jedną z innowacyjnych metod, coraz częściej wykorzystywanych przez lekarzy jest hiperbaria tlenowa. Wykorzystuje ona wysokie ciśnienie do nasycenia hemoglobiny tlenem i jego rozpuszczenia w osoczu krwi, aby stworzyć hiperoksemiczne środowisko, które odżywia i odwraca miejscowe uszkodzenia tkanek spowodowane niedokrwieniem i hipoksemią.
