Streszczenie

Najczęstszą przyczyną zgonów na świecie są choroby sercowo-naczyniowe, dlatego ważne jest szybkie wychwytywanie pacjentów z grup wysokiego ryzyka i zintensyfikowanie u nich leczenia i kontroli. Pomocnym w stratyfikacji ryzyka mogą okazać się parametry, których wartości znajdują się w ogólnodostępnym badaniu jakim jest morfologia krwi. Podwyższona wartość średniej objętości płytek krwi może sugerować zwiększoną ich aktywność, a poziom limfocytów świadczyć o obecności stanu zapalnego, czyli o procesach zwiększających między innymi ryzyko powstawania miażdżycy. Najnowsze doniesienia wskazują na skuteczność średniej objętości płytek krwi (MPV- mean platet volume), stosunku MPV do liczby płytek krwi oraz stosunku liczby trombocytów do liczby limfocytów w przewidywaniu zdarzeń sercowo-naczyniowych. Celem pracy jest przegląd najnowszych doniesień naukowych badających powyższe parametry w predycji głównych niepożądanych zdarzeń sercowo-naczyniowych, oraz porównanie ich skuteczności.
