Streszczenie

Istotny postęp ostatnich lat w zakresie transplantacji wątroby u pacjentów pediatrycznych umożliwił zauważalne zwiększenie przeżywalności i powodzenia przeszczepów. Pomimo to, większość dziecięcych biorców jest w perspektywie długoterminowej narażona na postępujące włóknienie transplantatu. Celem niniejszego rozdziału jest przybliżenie tego problemu - etiopatogenezy, czynników ryzyka i aktualnego postępowania. W dalszej części, po przeanalizowaniu literatury dotyczącej przeszczepu mikrobiomu kałowego dostępnej w bazach medycznych PubMed oraz Google Scholar, przedstawiono nadzieje wiązane z tą metodą w aspekcie zapobiegania potransplantacyjnej fibrogenezie wątroby. Na tej podstawie został sformułowany wniosek mówiący o niewykorzystanym potencjale terapeutycznym FMT w procesie włóknienia wątroby po przeszczepie u dzieci i ogromnym zapotrzebowaniu na dalsze badania w zakresie jej bezpieczeństwa i skuteczności dla pacjentów pediatrycznych.
